Excel Security Training Institute

The Excel Security Training Institute is one of the 1st training schools certified by the State of New York. The Institute includes certified instructors from the New York City Police Department and the United States Military. Our guest lecturers come from the intelligence and law enforcement communities and include specialists from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

In addition to the Fire & Life Safety Training, Excel exceeds industry standard training for uniformed security personnel. Our security staff undergo exhaustive training at the Excel Security Guard Training Institute, which was one of the first Security Guard Training Schools certified by the State of New York in 1995. We work hand in hand with the NYPD’s counter terrorism training bureau to provide additional training to all security personnel. Our security personnel receive Counter Terrorism Training, Active Shooter Training and FEMA classes in addition to all NY State mandated training such as the 16-hour on the job training class and annual eight (8) hour training class. Excel personnel also receive training in customer service, methods of patrol, public interaction, answering phones/radio communication, and concierge service classes. All training, including Fire Safety Classes, are provided to our security personnel free of charge.
